Race Overview

This year’s race supports the Museum of Culpeper History, helping preserve and share the stories that shaped our community and our nation.

Registration Details

• Early Registration: has ended, but there's still time to secure your spot!
• Current Fees: $40 for individuals or $35 per person for groups of 5 or more.
• Merchandise: Limited number of race shirts and exclusive Minutemen finisher medals available.

Participants Information

We’re looking forward to celebrating America 250 with you at the Freedom 5K this Saturday! Thank you for registering. Here’s everything you need to know before race day. If your plans have changed and you are no longer able to participate but would still like to receive your shirt and medal, you must make arrangements to pick them up before Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

Start/Finish Line

Culpeper Baptist Church, 318 S. West Street, Culpeper, VA

Race Schedule

• Packet Pickup: 7:00–8:00 a.m. (bib, shirt, and medal)
• Starting Line: Please be at the starting line by 8:20 a.m.
• Race Start: 8:30 a.m. Freedom 5K begins.
• Awards Ceremony: Approximately 9:45 a.m.

Participants who registered before June 15 are guaranteed a race shirt in selected size and medal.

Parking Information

Please park in the church parking lot or in one of the two Town parking lots across the street.

Race Day Tips

• Heat Preparedness: It's going to be HOT! Please hydrate well before the race.
• Safe Pacing: Run or walk at a pace that is safe for you.
• Water Station: A water station will be located at the entrance to Yowell Park, which you'll pass twice during the race.
• Cooling Area: After you finish, follow the signs to our indoor cooling area for snacks.

Course Safety

• Police Assistance: The Culpeper Town Police will be assisting along the course.
• Roads Open: Roads will remain open to traffic, so please use caution.
• Finish Line Protocol: After crossing the finish line, please do not cross back through the finish chute.

Post-Race Celebration

• Photo Booth: Stop by the finish-line photo booth to capture your moment.
• Historical Highlights: Check out information highlighting Culpeper's important role in the American Revolution.
• Sharing Photos: Email your photos to office@culpeperbaptist.org, and watch the Culpeper Baptist Church Facebook page for race photos and videos.

Costume Competition

Participants can also join the fun by entering the Group Costume Competition, with prizes awarded for:

• Best Red, White, and Blue Spirit
• Most Historically Accurate Revolutionary Theme
• Most Creative Patriotic Design
