The Derby Day 5 miler & 5k is set to take place on May 2, 2026.

Starting Date/Time

• Date: May 2nd
• Time: 7:30 a.m.

Entry Fee

• Until April 20th: $25.00
• April 21st - May 1st: $30.00
• Race Day: $40.00
• Shirt Size: Need to register before midnight April 22nd to guarantee your shirt size.

Packet Pickup

• Location: Sportspectrum, 6970 Fern Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71105
• April 30th: 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
• May 1st: 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
• May 2nd: (at the race site) 6:00 a.m. - 7:25 a.m.

If you do not pick up your packet or have someone else pick up your packet by race time, we will give your race shirt to one of our volunteers. No Refunds, No Packets Mailed.

Awards

• Overall Winners: Trophies & Gift cards worth $100 for 1st place & $50 for 2nd place (both male & female in the 5 miler & 5k)
• Age Group Awards: 1st place awards for both male and female in each age group.
• 2nd Place Awards: Based on the number of participants in that age group (minimum of 3 required).

Age Groups

• 5 Miler: 19-under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-79, 80+
• 5k: 19-under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+

Special Notes

• Regulations: Under RRCA regulations, no baby joggers, strollers, bikes, or skate devices are allowed.
• Dogs: No dogs are allowed on the course.
• Shirt Option: Choose the "I do not need another race shirt" option to save $5.00 on your registration.
