🕘 Start Times

• 8:15 AM: Kids Run
• 8:30 AM: 5K

💙 Our Mission

• Background: The Diabetes Dash 5K came to be a short time after Ryan Washburn was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in July 2018.
• Awareness: After diagnosis, Ryan became very interested in the work of JDRF, now known as Breakthrough T1D.
• Fundraising: Not only is our mission to help fund the research efforts to someday find a cure, but we also want to educate the community about Type 1 Diabetes.
• Charity: Proceeds will be donated to Breakthrough T1D - Southern & Central Ohio Chapter.

🎓 Scholarship Information

• Amount: A scholarship fund of $1,000 will be awarded to a Westerville City School graduating senior living with T1D in 2026.
• Special Note: There will be 2 - $1,000 scholarships awarded this year funded from our 2024 5K.

🌐 Virtual Participation

We would love to have those who are unable to attend on race day join us virtually! Sign up for the virtual 5K and the Diabetes Dash will come to YOU!
