Downs Freedom Run

Race Overview

Join us the Saturday BEFORE the 4th, for a fun morning with friends! Gun start at 8:00AM.

Course Details

• Flat Course: Enjoy one of the flattest 5k courses in the area, with a route that runs through our community.
• Cheering Spectators: Cheer on the runners as you make your way through the community.
• Festive Atmosphere: Get festive and be ready to have a fun morning - this is one you don’t want to miss!
• Finish Line: We will finish the 5k and 1 mile walk course with a lap around the high school track.

Community Support

• Local Investment: Any Downs Freedom Run proceeds are re-invested in the local community.
• Previous Contributions: Installed a new drinking fountain/water bottle refill station at Dooley Park.
• Business Support: Provided grants to local, small businesses struggling from Covid-19 impacts.
• Community Events: Supported the Downs 4th of July celebration, among other local causes.

Registration Information

• Registration Deadline: Must register by June 13th to be guaranteed a shirt.
• Awards: Overall M/F Winner and Top 3 M/F in each age group.
• Age Categories: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65+.
