Welcome to the 50th Annual DRC's The Half (Half Marathon, 10K & 5K)

The Dallas Running Club ("DRC" or "Club") was created in 1969 as a grassroots running club to build and support the Dallas running community. Tal Morrison was the founder and he started the Club by stopping runners he saw out on White Rock Lake and getting their contact information to invite them to join him for a run. The Dallas Running Club still remains a grassroots running club serving the Dallas running community for over 50 years. The Club offers five club races, of varying distances, and two half marathons a year. The half marathons help fund the Tal Morrison Scholarship Fund. This is a scholarship that was created in honor of the Club’s founder who had a passion for health and fitness. The scholarships provide assistance to graduating students that have an active participation in their school’s cross-country running program.

About the Race

While DRC’s races may be small but they are full of heart. DRC is a one hundred percent volunteer organization. The Club is a success because of those who choose to give of their time to the Dallas running community. We are happy you are here to join us for a race and hope you consider volunteering.

For over four decades, this race has been a celebration of our running home - White Rock Lake - and its beautiful trails. DRC’s The Half benefitting DRC and the Tal Morrison Scholarship Fund.

10K - Start time is 8:10a.m.

Final Registration: $75.00 (10/26/25 to 11/01/25)

5K - Start time is 8:10a.m.

Note: Discount for DRC members is applied at checkout. Membership must be active on the race date.

General Race Notes

Awards: Placement Awards will not be mailed, you need to be in attendance to receive your award. Arrangements for pick-up at 2025 DRC events may be arranged.
Age Group Awards: Are in 10 year increments.
Packet Pick-up: Will be available from 6:00a.m. to 7:45a.m. on race day.
Bag Check: Will be available Race Day from 6:00a.m. to 12:00p.m.

Parking & Transportation

Parking: There is no shuttle service. Race Site Parking is limited to Volunteers, Sponsors, Police, and Paramedics. DRC recommends you park at Flag Pole Hill, White Rock Station or take the DART Rail to White Rock station and walk over, or take a ride-share service.
Course Restrictions: No dogs/animals allowed to run the course.
Strollers: Strollers are permitted, but we ask that you do not start at the front and on the course stay to the right unless passing. Safety for all is DRC's primary concern.
Refund Policy: There is a NO Refund Policy, you can transfer entry to a friend or consider the fee as a donation to DRC & The Tal Morrison Scholarship Fund.
