Event Overview
- Description: Join us for an exciting night of racing at The Bell Lap Classic – Track Night in Ashtabula, an open “all-comers” track meet welcoming athletes of all ages and abilities.
- Inclusivity: Whether you're a seasoned competitor or someone who simply wants to experience the thrill of racing on the track, this event is for you.
- Location: Held at Lakeside High School in Ashtabula.
- Events: The meet features classic sprint and middle-distance events including the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1600m, and 4X400m Relay.
Participant Information
- Who can join: From youth athletes to masters runners, everyone is invited to step onto the track.
- Community Emphasis: Come compete, bring your friends, and be part of a great community track event in Ashtabula!
- Cost: $15 Per event.
- Rules: Standard track rules will be followed.
Event Guidelines
- Starting Mechanism: Starters pistol will be used to start each race.
- Timing: Fully Automatic Timing (FAT) Finish Lynx photo finish equipment will be used.
- Awards: No awards will be given, just local fame.
- Other Rules: Starting blocks not permitted; Field events are prohibited.
Relay and Warm-up Information
- Relay Details: Batons will be provided for the 4x400M Relay; Coed relay teams will have women as the first leg(s).
- Infield Policy: The infield (football field) must remain clear the entire meet.
- Warm-up Restrictions: After 8:25 PM, warmups must be conducted off the track.
- Service Animals: No dogs allowed; Service animals permitted.

- First Race: Starts at 8:30 PM.
- 7:00 PM: Track opens for warmups.
- 8:25 PM: Track closes for warmups.
