The 48th Annual Lone Star Stampede
Start your 2027 with purpose, pride, and the power of community. The 48th annual Lone Star Stampede is a Houston tradition that unites runners, walkers, University of Texas alumni, and supporters for a day of fitness, fun, and giving back.
Hosted by the Texas Exes Houston Chapter, this annual event features a 10K, 5K, Kids Dash, and an exciting new addition—our first-ever HALF MARATHON, welcoming participants of all ages and fitness levels.
More than just a race, the Lone Star Stampede is about making an impact—proceeds fund scholarships for Houston area students pursuing their dreams of higher education at The University of Texas at Austin. As a proud 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Texas Exes Houston Chapter is committed to fostering the next generation of Longhorn leaders while strengthening the bonds of our Houston community.
