🏞️ Course Description
This is the April edition of our popular Brazos Bend races with the marquee event being the 50-mile. Additional events include the 50k, 25k, 10k, and 5k. A great event for veteran or first-time ultra runners, trail runners, and those new to running in general.
- Terrain: The Brazos Bend course is the fastest trail in Texas trail running. The course is 99.9% flat, and the only hill is 10 feet.
- Surface: Running surfaces include hard crushed rock, soft hiking trails under tree canopy, and easy horse trails.
- Conditions: Spring conditions are typically warm and humid, but can include cooler mornings.
- Wildlife: Brazos Bend is known for its abundance of birds and American Alligators. Enjoy them from a distance for unique race photos.

Wednesday, April 8th
- Noon - 7 PM: Packet Pickup at Good Times Running Co in Katy
Friday, April 10th
- Noon - 7:00 PM: Packet Pickup and Bag Drop at Elm Lake Pavilion
- Note: Tents are not allowed on the grass area: open canopies are allowed.
Saturday, April 11th
- 4 AM: Parking shuttles begin from Nature Center/40 Acre/Overflow Parking Lots to Elm Lake
- ALL RACES START AND FINISH AT ELM LAKE PAVILION
- Race Start Schedule:
- 6 AM: 50-MILE START
- 7 AM: 50-KILOMETER START
- 7:30 AM: 25K START
- 8:00 AM: 10K START
- 8:30 AM: 5K START
9:00 PM: FINISH LINE CLOSES (FINAL CUTOFF ALL EVENTS)

🅿️ Park Pass
Registered runners/pacers, volunteers, and campers DO NOT need to purchase a pass.
- Guest Entry: Every guest 13 and over entering the park will require a special events state park pass.
- Payment: Fee goes directly to Brazos Bend State Park. Show receipt at packet pickup for wristbands.
- Extra Passes: Available on the TROT store in the month leading to the event.
👟 Pacers
Pacers are only allowed on the final lap of the 50M and must remain with their runner at all times. Each athlete is only allowed ONE pacer unless under special approved circumstances.
- Pacing Registration: Done through RunSignup for insurance purposes.
- Included: Pacer registration includes park pass, parking, and event support.
- Open: Registration will open one month before the event.
⛺ Camping & Accommodations
Camping at the event area, parking lots, pavilions, and car camping is NOT allowed. Camping must be reserved through the online reservation system:
Texas State Parks Reservation.
- Nearby Camping: Open primitive camping and RV Parking (no hookups) at BBRV, no reservation required.
- Accommodation: Closest accommodations include AirBnB and hotels in Rosenburg and Sugar Land.
