Tidewater Striders Elizabeth River Run 10K & Mile

Welcome to the 47th Running of the Elizabeth River Run

This year, we have moved the Race back to Downtown Portsmouth.

Race Details

• Date: September 13, 2026
• Location: 16 Crawford Circle, Portsmouth, VA
• 10K: Fast, flat, certified course, starting and finishing by the pavilion, running through historic downtown streets and along the gorgeous seawall.
• Mile: The Crawford Mile is back with an up and back course on Crawford Street, with start and finish in front of the pavilion.

Entry Fee

• 10K: Early Bird $35 until March 21st: $45 until May 29th: $55 until July 31st: $60 until September 15th: $65 until race day.
• Mile: $15 until March 31st: $20 until August 1st: $25 until race day.
• No shirt option: Available for a $3 discount by selecting "No Shirt."
• Discount: Strider Club members receive a $5.00 discount until the close of online registration.

Guaranteed to the first 750 runners.

Elite Registration

• Eligibility: Qualifiers receive a Comp Registration. Contact our Race Director at Orangerunning@yahoo.com.
• Timeframe: Your time must be from a 10K race completed between May 2025 and September 1st, 2026.
• Open Male: Sub - 31min
• Open Female: Sub - 37min

Awards

• Categories: Top 3 overall female and male finishers in Overall, Masters, 19 & under, 5-year age groups 20-74, and 75 +.
• Walkers: Top male & female walkers will also receive awards.
• Youth: Age group awards for the one mile.
• Prize Money: Awards for top 3 male and female, and overall male and female masters winners in the 10K.

Team Competition

All clubs and groups are welcome. The competition will be based on age-graded results, and the 1st place team will be awarded the ERR Cup. You can register your team during registration.

Amenities & Post-Race Festivities

• Shirts: Quality race shirts and finishers medals.
• Post-Race Party: Back at the Portsmouth pavilion with local craft beer, food, live music, and vendors.

Packet Pick-Up

Advance packet pick-up will be at TBD on September 11th, 3-6 pm, and September 12th, 2-7 p.m. Race day packet pickup will be available for out-of-town participants.
