Course Information

• Certification: The Marathon will take place on our USATF Certified Course, ranked the Fastest course in Virginia.
• 50K & Half Marathon: Also on a Certified course.
• 50K Structure: Out and back course, 3.88 miles each way with 4 loops.
• Marathon Structure: 6.55 miles up, 6.55 miles back, 2 loops for the Marathon & one loop for the Half Marathon.

Fluids and Food

• Aid Stations: 1 full aid station at start/finish after every loop with food, water, and nutrition drinks.
• Water Stations: Marathon runners will encounter 9 stations, Half Marathon runners will have 4.
• Manned Stations: Only during the Marathon: unmanned station for the 50k after Marathon concludes.

Amenities & Post-Race

• Finishers Items: Medals, hoodies for the 50K, shirts for Marathon & Half Marathon.
• BQ Shirts: Awarded to all runners who qualify for Boston.
• Beer Garden: Open from 9 am-2 pm: redeem drinks after closing at Garage Brewery until next weekend.
• Food: Pizza will be available to enjoy post-race.

Time Limits

• Start Times: 50K & 50K Relay at 7 am: Full Marathon & Half Marathon at 7:30 AM.
• Finish Line Closure: 4 PM.

Awards

• Overall Awards: Top three males and females overall in the 50K, Marathon & Half Marathon.
• Age Group Awards: Top three males and females in age groups: 39 and under, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over for the 50K.

Registration

• On-Site Registration: Available race day up to the Race Start.
• Strider Plus/Legacy Runners: Discounts will be applied at checkout.
• Club Membership Discounts: $5.00 available through race day: automatic during registration.
• Entry Forms: Paper entry forms are not available.

Packet Pickup

• Pre-race Pickup: At Running etc. VB on December 5th from 1-3 p.m.
• Race Day Pickup: Start line from 6:15 am until the Marathon & Half Marathon start.

50K Relay

• Team Registration: Sign up under the same team name if registering others.
• Team Size: 2 to 4 members allowed on each team.

Elite Field

• Elite Entry: For those who have run qualifying times in the past 2 years: contact Thomas via email for details.
• Nutrition Stations: Will be set up in multiple areas on the marathon course.
