Tidewater Strider Dismal Swamp 50K / Marathon /Half Marathon/50K Relay

🏃‍♂️Welcome to the 6th Annual Dismal Swamp 50K / Marathon / Half Marathon (New this Year) and 50K Relay

📍Location

The race will take place at Rest stop at mile post 4 Dismal Swamp, Chesapeake, VA.

🗓️Date and Time

The event is scheduled for December 7, 2025. The 50K & Relay starts at 7:00 am, while the Marathon and Half Marathon begin at 7:30 am.

🏅Course Details

• Fastest Course: It is ranked the fastest course in Virginia and 47th fastest in the US.
• Out and Back: The 50K course consists of an out and back route of 3.88 miles each way, totaling four loops.
• Marathon Configuration: The Marathon course is a certified BQ Course, consisting of 6.55 miles up and back for two loops.
• Half Marathon: The Half Marathon features a single loop, ensuring a fast course for all runners.

💧Fluids and Food

• Aid Stations: One full aid station will be available at the start/finish after every loop, offering food, water, and nutrition drinks.
• Water Stations: Additional water stations will be set up for Marathon runners at 9 points and for Half Marathon runners at 4 points.
• Manned Stations: Manned stations will be available only during the Marathon.
• Unmanned Station: An unmanned water station will be near the 50K turnaround for Ultra race participants.

🎖️Amenities & Post-Race

• Finishers' Perks: Finishers will receive a medal, hoodie sweatshirt for 50K, and a long-sleeve shirt for the Marathon and Half Marathon.
• BQ Shirts: All runners who qualify for Boston will receive a special BQ Shirt.
• Post-Race Celebration: Join us after the race for food and festivities.
• Warm Up Area: Indoor space available for runners to warm up before the race.

⏰Time Limits

• Finish Line Closure: All events must be completed by 4 PM.
• Start Times: 50K & Relay start at 7 AM, and the Marathon & Half Marathon start at 7:30 AM.
• Overall Duration: A total race limit of 9 hours is provided for all competitors.

🏆Awards

• Overall Awards: Top 3 overall male and female runners will receive awards.
• Age Group Awards: Awards will be given for the top male and female in age groups: 39 & under, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 & over.
• Special Recognition: Additional awards may be presented for notable achievements.

📝Registration

• Open Registration: Registration will remain open on race day up until the race start.
• Paper Forms: Please note that paper entry forms are not available.
• Club Membership Discounts: A club membership discount of $5.00 is available up to race day, automatically applied at checkout.
• Strider Plus/Legacy Runners: Discounts will apply at checkout for eligible runners.

🎫Packet Pickup

Packet pick up will be at the start line starting at 6:15 am until the Marathon and Half Marathon start.

👥50K Relay

When registering for the 50K Relay, please sign up your team if you are the 1st member. Additional team members should use the same team name. Teams can include anywhere from 2 to 4 members.

🔥Elite Field
