Tidewater Striders Turkey Trot 10K & Mile

🏃‍♂️ The 48th Annual Turkey Trot 10K and 1 Mile Run

This event provides a traditional quality running event for families and runners of all abilities.

🗺️ Course Details

• One Mile Race: Starts at 8:15 AM - This is an out-and-back starting and finishing in front of the Mt Trashmore YMCA.
• 10K Race: Starts at 9 AM - This certified course loops through Windsor Woods and Mt Trashmore City Park, finishing back at the Y. Strollers are allowed, but must start at the back. Dogs are not allowed on the course.

🎉 Amenities & Post-Race

• T-shirts: Long-sleeved T-shirts for all. To guarantee a shirt and size, early registration is recommended!
• Refreshments: Complimentary onsite refreshments and a post-race party for participants and volunteers in the YMCA parking lot.
• Awards: Age group awards will be announced at the party, and finisher medals will be given to all registered participants.

📝 Registration Information

• Early Bird Registration: $35 open through May 31st. Price increases to $40 until October 1, then $45 until November 1, and $50 until race day!
• Youth Discount: An $8.00 youth discount for ages 22 and under available until 11/27/25.

• 10K Awards: Top 3 Overall Male & Female.
• Age Groups: Male: 12 & under, 13-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & over, Walkers top 3 overall.
• Female Age Groups: 12 & under, 13-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & over, Walkers top 3 overall.
• Mile Run/Walk Awards: Top 3 male and female in age groups: 6 & under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-19, 20-39, 40 & above. Medals for all finishers.

⏰ Time Limits

One Mile cutoff is 8:50 AM. The 10K cutoff is 10:45 AM.

📅 Additional Registration Information

• Early Registration: Registration & pre-registered packet pick-up will be held on Wednesday, Nov 26th from 1:00 to 5:30 PM at the Mt. Trashmore YMCA, 4441 South Boulevard in Virginia Beach.
• Discounts: Strider Plus/Legacy Runners will have discounts applied at checkout if they register by Nov 26th. Club membership discounts of $5.00 available through Nov 26th, applied automatically during registration.

This is a Strider Grand Prix, Youth Grand Prix.
