Tidewater Striders Turkey Trot 10K & Mile

Race Overview

The 49th Annual Turkey Trot 10K and 1 Mile Run provides a traditional quality running event for families & runners of all abilities. All proceeds will go to our Scholarship fund.

Course Information

• One Mile Race: at 8:15 AM - This is an out-and-back starting and finishing in front of the Mt Trashmore YMCA.
• 10K Race: at 9 AM - This certified course starts at the Mt Trashmore YMCA, loops through Windsor Woods, and then Mt Trashmore City Park & finishes back at the Y.
• Strollers: Allowed on the Course, we just ask if you start in the back of the race.
• Dogs: Not allowed on the course.

Amenities & Post-Race

• T-shirts: Long-sleeved T-shirts for all. To guarantee a shirt and size, we recommend signing up early!
• Refreshments: Onsite refreshments and a post‐race party will be complimentary to race participants & volunteers in the YMCA parking lot.
• Awards: Age group awards will be announced at the party.
• Medals: Finisher medals to all registered for & completing each race.

Registration Details

• Early Bird Registration: Discounted registration of $35 is open through May 31st.
• Price Increase: Registration will increase to $40 until October 1, $45 until November 1, and $50 until race day!
• Youth Discount: There is an $8.00 youth discount for ages 22 and under through 11/26/26.

Toddler Turkey Wobble

We are bringing it back again this year, 50yd Toddler wobble. Registration is free, all participants will receive a bib and a medal. This race is only open for smaller kids that can't run a mile. Race will start right before the mile, around 8 AM.

Awards

• 10K Awards: Top 3 Overall Male & Female.
• 10K Age Groups: Male: 12 & under, 13-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & over, Walkers top 3 overall.
• Medals: Medals for all finishers.
• Mile Run/Walk Awards: Top 3 male and female in age groups: 6 & under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-19, 20-39, 40 & above: Medals for all finishers.

Time Limits

One Mile: Cutoff is 8:50 AM. 10K: Cutoff is 10:45 AM.

Additional Information

• T-shirt Savings: There is a $3.00 savings if you opt out of receiving a quality T-shirt. You will be prompted in the sign up process.
• Packet Pickup: Registration & pre-registered packet pick-up will be held Wednesday, Nov 25th from 1:00 to 5:30 PM at the Mt. Trashmore YMCA, 4441 South Boulevard in Virginia Beach.
• Discounts: STRIDER PLUS/LEGACY RUNNERS discounts will be automatically applied at checkout - register by Nov 26th: a Club membership discount of $5.00 is available through Nov 25th.
• Grand Prix: This is a Strider Grand Prix, Youth Grand Prix.
