Tidewater Striders Turkey Trot 10K & Mile

Race Overview

The 48th Annual Turkey Trot 10K and 1 Mile Run provides a traditional quality running event for families & runners of all abilities. For more details, visit here.

Course Details

• One Mile Race: Starts at 8:15 AM - This is an out-and-back starting and finishing in front of the Mt Trashmore YMCA.
• 10K Race: Starts at 9 AM - This certified course starts at the Mt Trashmore YMCA, loops through Windsor Woods, and then Mt Trashmore City Park & finishes back at the Y.
• Stroller Policy: Strollers are allowed on the Course: we just ask if you start in the back of the race.
• Dog Policy: Dogs are not allowed on the course.

Amenities & Post-Race

• Participant Shirts: Long-sleeved T-shirts for all. Sign up early to guarantee your shirt and size!
• Refreshments: Onsite refreshments and a post-race party will be complimentary for race participants & volunteers.
• Awards: Age group awards will be announced at the party, and finisher medals will be awarded to all registered participants.

Registration Information

• Early Bird Pricing: $35 registration is open through May 31st.
• Standard Pricing: Increases to $40 until October 1, $45 until November 1, then $50 until race day!
• Youth Discount: An $8.00 youth discount for ages 22 and under through 11/27/25.

Toddler Turkey Wobble 50yd Dash

New this year, a 50yd Toddler wobble with free registration. All participants will receive a bib and a medal, open for smaller kids who can't run a mile. Race will start right before the mile around 8 AM.

Awards

• 10K Top 3 Overall: Awards for Male & Female.
• 10K Age Groups: Various male and female age groups from 12 & under to 75 & over.
• Medals: Medals for all finishers in both races.

Time Limits

One Mile cutoff is 8:50 AM. The 10K cutoff is 10:45 AM.

Additional Information

• T-Shirt Discount: $3.00 savings if you opt-out of receiving a T-shirt.
• Packet Pick-Up: Registration & pre-registered packet pick-up will be held Wednesday, Nov 26th from 1:00 to 5:30 PM at the Mt. Trashmore YMCA, 4441 South Boulevard in Virginia Beach.
• Club Membership Discounts: A $5.00 discount is available through Nov 26th.
