Tidewater Striders Turkey Trot 10K & Mile

🏃‍♂️Event Overview

The 48th Annual Turkey Trot 10K and 1 Mile Run provides a traditional quality running event for families & runners of all abilities.

🏞️Course Details

• 1 Mile Race: Starting at 8:15 AM - This is an out-and-back starting and finishing in front of the Mt Trashmore YMCA.
• 10K Race: Starting at 9 AM - This certified course starts at the Mt Trashmore YMCA, loops through Windsor Woods, and then Mt Trashmore City Park & finishes back at the Y. Strollers are allowed on the course, we just ask if you start in the back of the race. Dogs are not allowed on the course.
• Tradition: Both Races are holiday traditions, family-friendly, with deeply discounted youth registrations.

🎽Amenities & Post-Race

• T-Shirts: Long-sleeved T-shirts for all. To guarantee a shirt and the shirt size, we recommend signing up early!
• Refreshments: Onsite refreshments and a post-race party will be complimentary to race participants & volunteers in the YMCA parking lot.
• Awards: Age group awards will be announced at the party - Finisher medals to all registered for & completing each race.

📝Registration Information

• Early Bird: Early Bird discounted registration of $35 is open through May 31st. Registration will go up to $40 until October 1, then $45 until November 1, and finally $50 until race day!
• Youth Discount: There is an $8.00 youth discount for ages 22 and under through 11/27/25.

🏆Awards

• 10K Awards: Top 3 Overall Male & Female as well as age group awards for various categories.
• Mile Run/Walk Awards: Top 3 male and female in age groups: 6 & under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-19, 20-39, 40 & above: Medals for all finishers.

⏰Time Limits

One Mile cutoff is 8:50 AM. The 10K cutoff is 10:45 AM.

🛑Important Notes

• Shirt Option: There is a $3.00 savings if you opt out of receiving a quality T-shirt.
• Packet Pickup: Registration & pre-registered packet pick-up will be held on Wednesday, Nov 26th from 1:00 to 5:30 PM at the Mt. Trashmore YMCA, 4441 South Boulevard in Virginia Beach.
• Club Discounts: A Club membership discount of $5.00 is available through Nov 26th.
