Race Overview
The race will begin and end on PR property, entering into the adjacent Squaw Creek neighborhood for a time. The course will not be certified for this inaugural race, but chip timing with bibs will be used for accurate results.
“Pass the Poult” Challenge
- Fun Element: Our added element of fun! A baby turkey is called a poult.
- Challenge: Wolfpack 5K Runners will have the challenge of chasing down our poult along the course.
- Prize: Runners that cross the finish line before the poult will win an additional prize!
Packet Pickup
- Advanced Pickup: Will be held at Prairie Ridge High School, Friday, November 20th from 3:00pm-7:00pm in the Stadium ticket building.
- Same Day Pickup: Will be held in Prairie Ridge’s Cafeteria from 8:45-9:50AM.
- T-shirts: Included with registration price but only guaranteed if registration is received by October 25th, 2026.
Event Day Details
- Lineup: Begins outside the cafeteria near the stadium at 9:45am for announcements and a brief warm-up.
- Results: Will be immediately available and awards can be picked up from the awards station in the staging area located in the cafeteria.
Awards
- Top Finishers: Awards will be given to the overall top male and female finisher.
- Age Group Winners: Top 3 male and female age group winners (overall male and female excluded).
- Age Categories: Awards will be given for the following categories: 9 & Under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & Over.
Important Notes
- Weather Policy: Rain or Shine event. No refunds for any reason. Unclaimed packets will be donated.
- Sponsor: The Prairie Ridge High School Booster Club is sponsoring this inaugural 5K to support its general fund for spring allocations that benefit sports, clubs and activity groups at PR.
