🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

5K Run & Walk, starts & finishes at Lynch Field, (526 New Alexandria Rd, Greensburg, PA). Benefits the American Heart Association. Team categories available. Overall & age group prizes. Timing by Gingerbreadman Running. Race day registration at Lynch Field 7:15-8:15AM. Should the race be canceled due to COVID-19 or other crisis, refunds will be given. If race date is moved to a later day, refund is optional if you cannot attend.

📅 Important Dates

• Race Day: July 4, 2026
• Registration: Early registration available until June 15, then prices increase
• Packet Pick Up: July 3 from Noon-5PM at Gingerbreadman Running store
• Virtual 5K: Available anytime from July 1-31, complete your race and upload your time

🏅 Awards

Awards: Top 3 male & female runners by gun time so make sure you are in the 1st wave if you’re speedy! Other awards are chip timed: Top male & female masters runner (age 40+) by chip time & Top 3 walkers male/female by chip time: Runners/Walkers age group awards are all chip time as there are waves but all walkers should be in the final wave. Age groups: Runners top 3: 15/under, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+: Walkers top 3: 20-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+: (all 19/under walkers will receive a small gift to be determined later).

⚠️ Race Day Information

• Wave Starts: 4 waves based on expected times with 2-minute gaps.
• Registration: Cap for 500 participants, register ASAP!
• Parking: Possible congestion, alternative parking available behind the ice rink.
• Safety: Please stay to the right half of the trail, avoid train tracks, and be mindful of traffic.

• Virtual Participation: Virtual runners and walkers can upload results and photos.
• Kids Sparkler: For ages 10 & under, register for $10 after/during the 5K.
