Freedom 5k

Race Information

5K Run & Walk, starts & finishes at Lynch Field, (526 New Alexandria Rd, Greensburg, PA). Benefits the American Heart Association. Team categories available. Overall & age group prizes. Timing by Gingerbreadman Running. Race day registration at Lynch Field 7:15-8:15AM. Should the race be canceled due to COVID-19 or other crisis, refunds will be given. If race date is moved to a later day, refund is optional if you cannot attend.

Registration Details

• Current Registration: As of 7pm on 7/3, we have 26 entries available!
• Past Count: Registration 403 at the end of 6/29!
• Capacity: We will cap pre-race at 500 (269 as of 6/21).
• Shirts: Shirt sizes guaranteed through 6/22: others can order from the online store after the race.

Event Schedule

• Early Packet Pickup: 7/3 from Noon-5pm at Gingerbreadman Running store.
• Wave Starts: 08:30 for runners sub 24 min pace: subsequent waves every 2-4 min.
• National Anthem: Planned for 08:25 am before the race starts.
• Teams Registration: Needs to be completed by 7/3!

Awards

Awards will be given to the top 3 male & female runners by gun time, chip timed awards for other categories including masters and walkers. Age groups and prizes will include:

• Top Runners: 15/under, 16-19, 20-24, etc.
• Top Walkers: 20-39, 40-49, 50-59, etc.
• Special Gift: All 19/under walkers will receive a small gift.
• Raffle Prizes: Includes shoes, golf rounds, and more!

Virtual Participation

Can't make it?? Run the Freedom Virtual 5K this year, complete your race anytime from 7/1-7/31, upload your time to runsignup.com & shirt can be picked up at Gingerbreadman running store in Greensburg starting approximately 1 week after race day.
