Freedom 5K/10K Celebration @ Independence Bank

🎉 Race Overview

Before you go out to celebrate on the 4th of July... spend the morning getting some healthy exercise in a fun family environment! The inaugural Freedom 5k/10k at Independence Bank in Paducah KY invites you to bring out the family to run, walk, and cheer your way into the holiday!

• Gear: All participants will receive great patriotic race gear.
• Awards: Fun awards will be given out for overall and age group winners at each distance.
• Prizes: There will even be door prizes available to family members and supporters!
• Date: Event takes place on July 4, 2025.

🤝 Charity Efforts

All collected donations and a portion of race proceeds will go to the Wounded Warrior Project (woundedwarriorproject.org). WWP creates and funds programs that help wounded veterans get back on track and become positive forces in their communities.

• Goal: Please help us reach our goal of $7000.
• Support: Give just a little back to those who gave so much for us.
• Impact: Your participation supports a worthy cause.
• Community: Join us in making a difference!

🏁 Race Details

Both 5k and 10k races will begin at 8 AM. Participants will gather in the Independence Bank parking lot on Buckner and Labelle Ave (Midtown Paducah, across from the Coke Plant) and head down Jefferson towards the flood wall.

• 5k Turnaround: The 5k race will turn around close to Fountain avenue.
• 10k Turnaround: The 10k will continue until the turn around point (see course maps for details).
• Finish Line: Both races will finish back at the bank with high energy, music, friends, and awards!
• Cut Off: The race cut-off is 10:30 AM, so walkers are welcome to participate!

🏃 Division Options

Choose from three divisions to participate in the race.

• WALK: Sign up in the "Walk" division for a great non-competitive morning walk. You can sign up for either distance. Note: there will be no awards given in the walking division.
• RUN: The "Run" division is what you would see at most races. Awards are given for overall and age group finishers. Available in both 5k and 10k distances.
• RUCK: Requires you to wear a weighted vest or pack (Not provided at the race. You must bring your own). Overall awards for both the 5k and 10k distances are available. RUCK WEIGHT: If you weigh under 150lbs, you need to wear a minimum of a 20lbs weighted ruck. If you weigh over 150lbs, you are required to wear a 30lbs minimum ruck.
