12th Annual Hot Cocoa Races sponsored by Sylvania Prevention Alliance

Event Overview

• Family Event: A great family event that will help chase away the winter blues!
• Location: Held in partnership with Olander Park.
• Start Time: Racing begins at 9am with staggered starts for safety.
• Distances: Multiple distances to choose from: 5K, 10K, and 1 mile.

Race Details

• 1 Mile Race: Timed loop around Olander Lake, open to ages 8+.
• 5K Course: Starts at the Nederhouser Building, crossing Sylvania Avenue into neighborhoods.
• 10K Course: Continues from the 5K course onto University Parks trail, open to ages 16+.
• Proceeds: Support Sylvania Prevention Alliance, empowering safe and healthy choices.

Registration Information

Sign up today! Early bird pricing ends, and shirt order deadline is on Monday, February 8th.

Race Times

• 10K: Starts at 9:00am
• 5K: Starts at 9:05am
• 1 Mile: Starts at 9:10am

Age Group Awards

• Awards: Top 3 in each group, male and female for 5K/10K.
• Age Groups: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
• 1 Mile Awards: To be determined.

Packet Pick Up

• Date 1: Wednesday, February 24th from 4:00 - 6:30 pm at Dave's Running Shop, Sylvania.
• Date 2: Friday, February 26th from 4:00 - 6:30 pm at the Nederhouser, Olander Park.
• Race Day Pickup: Limited availability for participants living more than 30 minutes away.
