12th Annual Hot Cocoa Races sponsored by Sylvania Prevention Alliance

Event Overview

• Family Event: A great family event that will help chase away the winter blues!
• Date: February 27, 2027
• Location: Olander Park, Sylvania, OH
• Distances: Multiple distances including 5K, 10K, and 1 mile.

Race Details

• 1 Mile Race: Timed 1 mile run/walk around Olander Lake, open to ages 8+.
• 5K Race: Starting at the Nederhouser Building, open to ages 12+.
• 10K Race: Continues onto the University Parks Trail, open to ages 16+.
• Start Times: 10K at 9:00 AM, 5K at 9:05 AM, 1 Mile at 9:10 AM.

Purpose

• Proceeds: Will support Sylvania Prevention Alliance.
• Mission: Empower youth, families, and the community to make safe and healthy choices.

Age Group Awards

• Awards: Top 3 in each age group for 5K/10K (male and female).
• Age Groups: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
• 1 Mile: Awards details to be determined.

Packet Pick Up

• Date: February 24th from 4:00 - 6:30 PM at Dave's Running Shop.
• Location: 5700 Monroe St., Sylvania, OH.
• Additional Pickup: February 26th from 4:00 - 6:30 PM at Nederhouser in Olander Park.
• Race Day Pickup: Limited packet pickup available for those living more than 30 minutes away.
