Death by 5k is returning to Oregon!

Event Details

• Date: 2026-08-08
• Location: Elijah Bristow State Park, 38263 Wheeler Road, Dexter, OR
• Challenge: Participants must run ten 5ks starting every 2.5 hours for 24 hours.
• Starting Times: 8 am, 10:30 am, 1 pm, 3:30 pm, 6 pm, 8:30 pm, 11 pm, 1:30 am, 4 am, and 6:30 am.

Participants' Requirements

• Presence: Participants must be present at the start of each 5k.
• Completion: Each 5k must be finished prior to the start of the subsequent 5k.
• Equipment: Headlamps, hand lights, or some other form of illumination are required.
• Experience: Designed to test participants mentally and physically.

Camping and Food

• Camping: Participants can car camp or set up tents in the group camping area.
• Race HQ: The group camping area will also serve as the race HQ.
• Food Schedule: Hot food served at 8:30 am, 1:30 pm, 6:30 pm, 11:30 pm, and 4:30 am.
• Snacks: Plenty of snack food available throughout the event, along with water and mixed Gatorade.

Finisher Rewards

• Event Shirt: Participants will receive an event shirt.
• Swag: Great additional swag will also be provided.
• Coffin Awards: Finishers will receive one of the coveted coffin awards.
• Pride: Participants will earn the pride that comes with surviving this challenge.

Registration Information

• Limit: Registration will be limited to 150 participants.
• Waitlist: A waitlist will be enabled once the limit is reached.
• Availability: Spots will only open if/when they become available.

• Shelby Farms Park in Memphis
• Adventures Unlimited in Milton, FL
