Death by 5k is returning to Oregon!

Event Details

• Date: 2026-08-08
• Location: Elijah Bristow State Park, 38263 Wheeler Road, Dexter, OR

• Challenge: Requires participants to run ten 5ks starting every 2.5 hours for 24 hours.

Race Schedule

• First 5k: Starts at 8 am
• Subsequent 5ks: 10:30 am, 1 pm, 3:30 pm, 6 pm, 8:30 pm, 11 pm, 1:30 am, 4 am, and 6:30 am
• Requirements: Participants need to finish each 5k before the start of the next one.
• Illumination: Headlamps, hand lights, or other forms of illumination will be required.

Camping and Amenities

• Camping: Participants can car camp or set up tents in the group camping area, which will serve as the race HQ.
• Food: Hot food will be served at 8:30 am, 1:30 pm, 6:30 pm, 11:30 pm, and 4:30 am.
• Snacks: Plenty of snack food will be available throughout the event.
• Drinks: Water and mixed Gatorade will be provided.

Trophy and Registration

• Participant Gear: Each participant will receive an event shirt and additional swag.
• Finishers: Will receive a coveted coffin award and the pride of surviving the challenge.
• Registration Limit: Limited to 150 participants.
• Waitlist: A waitlist will be enabled once registration is full, and spots may open up as available.
