Grafton Run for the Roses 5K

🏅 Event Details

• Date: August 10, 2025
• Location: 100 Grafton Lakes State Park Way, Grafton, NY
• 5K Start Time: 9:00 a.m.
• Kids’ Fun Run Start Time: 10:00 a.m.

🚶‍♂️ The Course

• 5K Route: Follows the Park Entrance Road, continues along Route 2, around the Town Park and back into the Park on Long Pond Road.
• Terrain: First half of the course is downhill, with uphill slopes on the second half.
• Water Stations: Available near the half point.
• Finish Line: The Race finishes under the Race Banner.

🏃‍♀️ Kids’ Fun Run

• Start Location: Begins in the main parking lot.
• Route: Proceeds through the woods and along the beach.
• Finish Line: The Fun Run also finishes under the Race Banner.

📜 Course Records

• Men’s Record: Rich Coughlin, 15:17 in 1989
• Women’s Record: Lori Hewig, 17:08 in 1990

🏆 Awards and Participants

• Recognition: Ribbons and books awarded to all runners and walkers.
• Time Clock: Running at the finish line for participant convenience.

🎉 Ceremonies

• Award Presentation: Immediately following the race at the finish line.
• Refreshments: Provided for participants.
• Facilities: Showers located near the finish line.
• Park Amenities: Offers beach and picnic facilities, plan on staying all day!
