- Organizers: Down the Leash Service Dogs, a 501(c)3 veteran-run non-profit organization.
- Mission: Providing a safe space environment for our nations heroes teaching them basic and advanced dog handling skills for their own service dogs.
- Activities: The event features an opening ceremony, live band, and family-friendly activities.

- Check-in: Runner check-in and packet pick up will begin at 9 AM.

- Awards: Awards will be presented immediately following the run and walk.

About Down the Leash Service Dogs

- Training Location: Currently train out of the Masonic Lodge in Herrin, Illinois every Sunday afternoon.
- Funding Needs: Funds raised will help improve the lives of local veterans as training costs can exceed $20,000 and are not covered under VA benefits.
