- Mission: Providing a safe space environment for our nations heroes teaching them basic and advanced dog handling skills for their own service dogs.

- Check-in: Runner check-in and packet pick up will begin at 9 AM.

- Awards: Awards will be presented immediately following the run and walk.

About Down the Leash Service Dogs
- Community: A family where veterans and their families can feel at home, supported, and welcomed.
- Impact: Helped over 60 veterans and their families in three years of operation.
- Training Location: Currently train out of the Masonic Lodge in Herrin, Illinois every Sunday afternoon.
- Funding Needs: Funds raised will help improve the lives of local veterans as training costs can exceed $20,000 and are not covered under VA benefits.
