2026 Walk,Run,Read for Literacy! Sept. 19th

We’re Back And Ready to Run for a Great Cause!

Kick off your fall event calendar with a fun-filled morning for the whole family, all in support of The Literacy Project of North Idaho. A volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping adults in our community improve their literacy and English language skills. 100% of race proceeds go directly to support our learners and literacy programs.

Event Highlights

• Annual Event: This year’s 5th annual event features a 5K run.
• Kids Dash: Our popular Kids Dash is for children 12 & under.
• Grand Reveal: Celebration of our 2 Million Page Reading Challenge.
• Community Gathering: A vibrant gathering in Coeur d'Alene City Park/Fort Sherman Park.

Race Distances

• 5K Run/Walk: Participate in our main event.
• Kids Dash: A special event for kids ages 12 & under.
• Free Entry: Kids 6 & under participate FREE in any event.

Family Fun

• Annual Book Sale: Get ready to take home a stack of books to read!
• Games & Activities: Plenty to enjoy even if you’re not running.
• Prizes & Medals: Top 3 finishers in the 5K will win prizes.
• Participation Medals: All Kids Dash participants will receive medals!

Course Info

• 5K Route: Begins in Coeur d'Alene City Park and follows a scenic out-and-back route along the Idaho Centennial Trail toward Post Falls.
• Turnaround Point: Features a turnaround just before the Highway 95 bridge.
• Water Stations: Available along the way for hydration.
• Kids Dash Course: Takes place within the park on a fun, safe loop course perfect for little runners.
