🌟 About Chris Guzikowski

• Background: Lifelong resident of Oak Creek, 6th District Alderman, and 2018 Citizen of the Year
• Diagnosis: Received a diagnosis of Huntington’s Disease in 2020
• Impact: HD affects approximately 41,000 individuals in the U.S. with no cure
• Initiative: Launched Guzi’s Hunt for the Cure to raise awareness and funds

💖 A Personal Journey

• Family News: Chris’s daughter Carley was found to carry the Huntington’s gene
• Future Concerns: Any biological children would face a 50% chance of inheriting the gene
• Fertility Assistance: Received a grant for high-cost fertility assistance
• Family Growth: Welcomed a healthy baby boy in 2024

🌼 Guzi’s Hunt for the Cure Foundation, Inc.

• Mission: Raising awareness about Huntington’s Disease and genetic testing
• Support: First recipients undergoing Preimplantation Genetic Testing - In Vitro Fertilization (PGT-IVF)
• Grants: Awarding grants to couples impacted by Huntington’s Disease
• Collaboration: Proceeds support both the foundation and HDSA - WI Chapter
