Elmhurst Twilight Mile

The Elmhurst Twilight Mile is a race for athletes who want to compete on a fast 1-mile circuit in front of large crowds and on the same course the Elmhurst Cycling Classic cyclists raced. Presented by the Elmhurst Running Club, this event is an opportunity for middle distance and short distance runners to go for a PR in the mile on a closed, exciting circuit around scenic Elmhurst University. All runners are welcome but should be able to run the course in 13 minutes or less.

Prize Money

$2,000 total prize money! $300, $250, $200, $150, $100 for the top 5 overall finishers in both male and female categories!

Incentives for Speed

More Speed, More Money! The Elmhurst Twilight Mile also has the following incentives:

• Course Record Bonus: $100 to top male and female who set a course record - 4:11 - Braden Nicholson (2025), 4:51 - Margaret Connelly (2024)
• Sub-4 Minute Bonus: $100 to top male under 4 minutes
• Sub-4:30 Minute Bonus: $100 to top female under 4 minutes 30 seconds

The top male and female could possibly run away with $500!
