Event Overview

• Community Support: Neuse River Bridge Run unites runners, walkers, volunteers, and sponsors to support five important non-profit organizations.
• Various Events: Participants can choose from a 1/2 Marathon, 10K, 5K, and SuperKids Fun Run.
• Scenic Routes: The race follows routes over bridges, through historic neighborhoods, and downtown New Bern.
• Virtual Options: All four events are available as virtual options for 2027.

Mission

• Healthy Lifestyle: Promoting a healthy, active lifestyle within the community.
• Shared Revenue: All five organizations share 100% of the net revenue generated by the events.
• Participating Organizations: Organizations include: The Craven Community College Foundation, The Filling Station, Duffyfield Phoenix Project, Mediation Center of Eastern Carolina, and Twin River YMCA.

SuperKids Fun Run

• Race Day: Friday, April 30, 2027.
• Entry Fee: $20 per child.
• Start Time: 5:30 p.m.
• Check-in & Registration: 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. at Union Point Park.

1/2 Marathon, 10K and 5K

Event Date

Saturday, May 1, 2027

• Timed Events: All three events will be timed: a chip-enabled bib is required.
• Race Kit Pick-up: April 30 from 4 to 8 p.m., May 1 from 6:00 a.m. to 15 minutes before the race.
• Start Times: 7:00 a.m. for Half Marathon, 7:30 a.m. for 10K, 8:15 a.m. for 5K.
• Timing Provider: Official timing by Run the East.

Fees

• Registration Period: Early registration through February 28th.
• Current Fees: Half Marathon: $70, 10K: $55, 5K: $45, Kids Run: $20.
• Medals: Awards for top finishers in various categories and all Half Marathon finishers will receive a finisher medal.
• Age Group Categories: Multiple age divisions from 14 and under to 70 and over.

Virtual Events

• Virtual Fees: Same as in-person fees.
• Date Range: April 30 - May 8, 2027.
• Timing: Virtual races are not timed, but results can be reported via the RaceJoy app.
• Participation Kits: Pick-up or shipping options for race kits are available.

Post Race Celebration

A celebration will be held at the Riverfront Convention Center of Craven County from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Food and beverages will be served, and awards distribution will begin at 8:30 a.m.
