The Lake County Suicide Prevention Task Force 14th Annual 5K Walk/Run for Awareness and Suicide Prevention returns to the College of Lake County on Saturday, September 26, 2026.

Event Schedule

• Check-in: 9:00-10:00 a.m.
• Welcome & Kick-Off Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. (Also on Facebook Live!)
• Race Start: 10:30 a.m.
• Resource Fair: 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

The Welcome & Kickoff with Speakers will start at 10:00 AM In-Person and on Facebook Live for those who cannot join in person.

Registration and Resource Fair

This registration fee includes an event t-shirt and participation at the resource fair during the event, with information and various giveaways from our partnering organizations.

• Adults: $30
• Children (5-12 years): $10
• Children (4 and under): Free
• Teams (5 or more): $25 each

If you are unable to walk or would like to donate to the event, you can do so by clicking the donations tab above, or as part of your registration.

Memorial Board

This year, we will have a slideshow presentation running on a large video screen. This slideshow will include memorials of participants' loved ones. If there is a person you are walking for, please share a photo and tribute for them. Complete the Google form linked below:

T-shirt Pick-up

We will be hosting a drive-thru event for in advance t-shirt pick-up. Future emails will be sent with more information.

• Registration Deadline: Ensure T-shirt size by 8/26/2026

Team Competition

Set up a team for a friendly competition to see who can create the team with the most members registered. Winners will be announced at the event and prizes will be awarded. Remember, each team member automatically receives a discount on registration.
