• Location: Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park

Course Description

Start 2027 off right with the Hill and Dale 8 Miler. This scenic course winds through the roads and paved paths of Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park, showcasing the hills and dales of one of Tennessee’s most beautiful parks.

This is one of only a handful of USATF-certified 8-mile courses in Tennessee (Certificate #TN20013MS).

Registration

• No Registration: NO race day registration onsite.
• Open Registration: Registration will remain open through race day, but must be completed on your own device before arriving.
• Early Registration: Register early to secure the lowest pricing!
• Price Increase: Prices increase on December 24th.

Timing

The race will be chip-timed (electronic timing) by the Memphis Runners Track Club.

Packet Pickup

• Pickup Location: TBD
• Race-Day Pickup: Race-day packet pickup will be available.

Directions

Do NOT rely solely on GPS for exact race location.

• Main Route: Take Hwy 51 (Thomas) to North Watkins heading west/north.
• Turn Directions: Continue on North Watkins until it ends at Locke-Cuba Road. Turn LEFT and go approximately 0.7 miles to the 4-way stop at the General Store.
• Park Entrance: Continue straight for approximately 1.6 miles to the park entrance.
• Final Steps: Turn RIGHT onto Grassy Lake Road. Continue straight inside the park for about 1 mile to reach the start/finish area. Registration will be located in the pavilion near the start/finish line.

Please allow extra time for travel, parking, and warm-up. Arrival often takes longer than expected.
