A special place during a special time of year, come enjoy the trails of Winona Forest at the Tails and Trails 5K trail run/walk. Challenge yourself to a personal best, or take a walk with friends. The trails are easy to navigate, nothing technical, but surely nothing short of an Autumn postcard.
For this WFRA event, proceeds will support a local Animal Rescue dedicated to helping the stray, sick and abandoned animals in Central and upstate New York.

Q and A
Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: Friendly non-aggressive dogs are welcome to participate with you. Per NYS DEC rules, dogs must be leashed. Growling, excessive barking, and difficult to control dogs are not a good choice to bring to this event. Please understand, not everyone is comfortable around animals.
Q: I am a fast runner, and want to “compete” with my dog. I think I can win, or come close. Is this okay?
A: No. Since your dog will be on a leash, fellow competitive runners will not want to navigate a trail around you, your dog, and leash. Competing with your dog during a run is called cani-cross, this is not a cani-cross event. If you choose to bring your leashed dog, please stay in the back of the pack and enjoy the trails and the event.
