Hell Hole Gator Run 5K & 10K

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

The Hell Hole Gator Run is the oldest 10K race in the South Carolina Low Country. This is the 48th year for the Hell Hole Gator Trot. The Gator Run is now a 10K & 5K starting and finishing in Jamestown, SC. The 10K course is back to the old route of starting on French Santee Rd, then turning right onto Simmons Rd, then right onto Tiger Corner Rd, then right onto Hwy 41 to the finish line. The 5K has a new route that will start on the corner of Simmons Rd & Tiger Corner Rd: you will make a right onto Hwy 41 to the finish line. The Gator Run is affiliated with the world-famous Hell Hole Swamp Festival.

🕗 Schedule

• 10K Start Time: 8:00 AM.
• 5K Start Time: 8:00 AM.
• Note: The 10K will revert back to the original course, and the 5K will start at the 5K mark of the 10K in the woods.

Awards

The overall male & female, masters, and grandmasters winners get to ride in the parade that will start right after the awards ceremony. Large (actual) gator-head trophies will be given to the male and female overall, masters, and grandmasters divisions. Smaller gator-head trophies will be given to age group winners both male and female, ages 10-19 through 75-99.

📍 Location

We are located at the intersection of Highway 41 and Highway 17-A, so make plans to come out and enjoy.

📦 Packet Pick-Up

• Early Packet Pick-Up: May 2nd at Fleet Feet Carnes Crossroads, 2509 N Main Street, Summerville, SC 29486 from 3 PM - 6 PM.
• Race Day Packet Pick-Up: May 3rd at Hell Hole Inc, 116 Steel Shed Lane, Jamestown, SC 29453 from 6:15 AM - 7:45 AM.
• Important: Please remember if you are running the 5K and doing packet pick-up on May 3rd, please have your packet by 7 AM. We want to ensure all runners are at the start line before 8 AM.

🚗 Parking

Parking is at Hell Hole Inc, 116 Steel Shed Lane, Jamestown, SC 29453. Please bring your ID for packet pick-up.

📏 Course Details

• 10K Course: Starts on French Santee Road, goes straight, turns right onto Simmons Rd, then right onto Tiger Corner Rd, and then right onto Hwy 41 to the finish in front of Town Hall.
• 5K Course: Starts at the halfway point of the 10K (which is on Simmons Road). You will then take a right onto Tiger Corner Rd and then right onto Hwy 41 to the finish in front of Town Hall.
• Shuttle: The 5K runners will be shuttled out to the 5K start line beginning at 7 AM.
