- Scenic course: "The prettiest 5K course in the DFW Metroplex" features 2 ponds, a river, a lake, a natural area, geese, ducks & SWANS!

- Series awards: for Age Group and Overall winners
- Course terrain: Mostly paved with one grass hill.
- Course marking: Well-marked course, with course signs & chalk marking
- Water stops: 4 water stops on course

AGE GROUP for weekly awards uses actual age.

- SERIES AWARDS:
Divisions: 32 divisions for Age Group Awards: M/F for each of the age groups!
Age Division: for Series is based upon age as of June 1
Overall Series Awards: Four divisions for M/F Under-40 and M/F Masters!
Points: Earn points from Week 1 to Week 10. (Week 11 is only for tie-breaking)
Participation: Series winners must attend at least 4 races
Presentation: Awards for Series Winners will be presented at the Week 11 Summer's End party!
