9.11 Remembrance Run - Walk - Ruck

Purpose

• Beneficiary: Proceeds will go to Weber City Fire Department.
• Support: Funds will support training/certification costs, gear upgrades, and other expenses.
• Community Event: This is Weber City's first community event of its kind.
• Significance: Remembering those lost on 9/11.

Course Details

• Distance: 3.43 miles to honor the 343 New York City firefighters lost on 9/11.
• Terrain: Loop course on nearby residential streets.
• Start/Finish: At Weber City Elementary.
• Aid Station: Participants will pass the same aid station multiple times.

Special Features

• Speakers: Andrew Catron from Bristol's 9/11 Stair Climb.
• Ceremony: Flag-raising ceremony performed by Dobyns-Bennett JROTC.
• Awards: First place overall female and male will receive a prize.
• Finisher Medals: Unique medals for all participants.

Parking Information

• Main Parking: Gateway Baptist - 155 Shady Elm Lane (0.25 mile walk to start).
• Volunteer Parking: Available in elementary school lots with restrictions.
• Traffic: Course may not be closed to residential traffic: emergency vehicles present.
• Safety: Use headphones responsibly and keep right on narrow sidewalks.

Packet Pick-Up

• Pre-Race Pick-Up: Friday, 9/4/26 from 4-7 PM at The Yard Strength and Training.
• Race Day Pick-Up: Weber City Elementary from 7:30-8:30 AM.
• Capacity: Limit of 150 participants.
• Arrival: Plan to arrive early for parking and packet retrieval.

Fundraising

• 100% Proceeds: All registration fees go directly to Weber City Fire Department.
• Donations: Additional donations can be added to your registration.
• T-Shirts: Included with registration: extra shirts may be available for sale.
• Community Support: This event is a fundraiser for a local organization.
