About this race
Fishers YMCA Wishbone 5K / The Tradition Continues
The Wishbone 5K Run/Walk is an annual Thanksgiving event for the entire community. This year we’re celebrating 16 years of families coming together for a morning of fitness and fun.
Leashed dogs and strollers are welcome along the route but, in the interest of safety, we ask that these participants start near the back of their corrals.
Why Participate?
- Community Impact: The Wishbone 5K is the Fishers YMCA’s signature event for the Annual Campaign.
- Funding: Nearly $650,000 has been raised since 2011 to ensure that no one is turned away due to financial constraints.
- Participation: More than 15,000 participants have contributed to making this the premier Thanksgiving run in our community.
- Support: Your involvement helps subsidize memberships, programs, summer camp and before/after school care.
How Your Support Makes a Difference
- Annual Giving: Your participation helps to advance the Fishers YMCA Annual Giving.
- Local Assistance: More than one in every four members and one in every five program participants receive financial assistance.
- Community Reach: Providing Y for All means assisting over 7,000 local families each year.

VIRTUAL RACE OPTION
Wishbone 5K
The "live" Wishbone 5K. This option is for those who want to run the 5K in person at the Fishers YMCA on Thanksgiving morning.
In the event that we move the race to fully virtual, in-person participants will automatically become virtual participants, NO REFUNDS
Wishbone 5K - Virtual
Out of state, want to sleep in, or prefer to run whenever you want? You have the option to run a Wishbone 5K "virtually" on a course of your choosing.

Awards
Top 3 Overall, Male and Female Winners along with the Top 3 Masters (40+) Male and Female Winners and Age-Group Awards in 10-year increments (9 & Under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & up) both Male and Female.

- Date: Packet pick-up Wednesday, November 25, 12-8PM, Fishers YMCA
- Race Day: Thursday (Race Day), 6:30-7AM
