SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
Friday | July 31st | 6:00pm | The Hill Climb
- Event Type: This INTENSE event is great for hikers, peak baggers, nordic skiers and those who just love a good challenge.
- Course: We'll be taking the shortest route to the top of Shafer Butte (the highest point in Boise).
- Terrain: The climb is a combination of terrain, but be prepared for lots of it to be STEEP!

Saturday | August 1st | 8:00am | 10 Mile Race
- Challenge: This event is the ultimate challenge, but all the vertical climbing is totally worth it!
- Elevation: Climb over 2,000 feet and reach the highest point in all of Boise!
- Cut-off Time: This event has a generous cut-off time that allows you to hike the entire event and still make it with room to spare!

Saturday | August 1st | 9:00am | 5 Mile Race
- Accessibility: This event is perfect for new hikers and trail runners.
- Terrain: Wide trails without many rocks and rolling terrain make this event ideal for trail curious individuals.
- Cut-off Time: Generous cutoff time (same as the 10-mile!) allows for a comfortable experience.

ABOUT THE EVENTS
- Event Dates: Join us on Friday, July 31st, Saturday, August 1st (choose one day, or both) for a wonderful weekend of trails, nature and good vibes!
- New Courses: The Boise Running team is excited to announce NEW courses in 2026 starting from the main lodge (JR Simplot Lodge: 1731 N Bogus Basin Rd, Horseshoe Bend, ID 83629).
- Swag: All 5 mile and 10 mile finishers receive a t-shirt and a custom-designed medal.
- Medals: All Hill Climb participants receive a medal.
Proceeds from the Boise Front Trail Festival are donated to Ridge to Rivers. Since 2022, we've been able to donate over $20,000 to our trail system. This has directly helped with new trail projects in the Boise Foothills, including the Hawkins Reserve Trail.
