Jamaco River Run

🏃‍♂️ Course Change Announcement

• Notice: Due to construction and road closure on Emery Street, we cannot run our normal route this year.
• Adjustment: We have made adjustments to the course and I think this is going to be a new favorite route.
• Experience: We will have a bit more time along the river and we’ll get to run through beautiful downtown Merrimac.
• Distance: This new course will add a little distance meaning our “5k” is closer to 3.4 miles so with a new course and distance there will be no new course record this year.

🎉 Event Details

• Date: The 9th annual Jamaco River Run and Post-Race celebration will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025.
• Activities: This is a fun, family-friendly day complete with a Kid's Fun Run, a USATF certified & sanctioned 5K road race, and a post-race event.
• Registration: Registration & Bib Pickup will begin at 8am at Waterhouse Field (74 E. Main St, Merrimac, MA). Free parking is available on site.
• Schedule: The Kids Fun Run kicks off at 9am followed by the 5K walk/run at 10am. The first 200 registrants receive a custom commemorative t-shirt, a swag bag, and a free beer (21+).

🐾 Partnership Announcement

• Collaboration: We are excited to announce that we are partnering with Sweet Paws Rescue for this year's race!
• About SPR: Sweet Paws Rescue (SPR) is a local non-profit animal rescue based in Groveland.
• Impact: Since 2011, they have rescued close to 22,000 puppies, dogs, kittens, and cats that would not have a chance at life otherwise.
• Community Role: They also serve as a New England resource for the abandoned and displaced, and animals seized in cruelty cases within our home state.
