Yellowstone Independence Day 5k 2027

The Yellowstone Running Club brings you the 4th annual "Yellowstone Independence Day 5k" run/walk fundraiser! In 2026 we had record entries and we are ready to do it again and hope you will join us! Enjoy a beautiful river and tree lined route, chip timing, and lots of raffle prizes and fun fun fun!

• Support: Youth cross country team attendance at regional championship races

Race Giveaway

We are working on the 2027 race giveaway and will announce what this will be soon!

Awards

• Medals: Top 3 male and 3 female finisher medals in each age group (tbd)
• Attire: Wear your most patriotic attire
• Strollers: Decorate for a chance to win a special prize
• Raffle: All runners entered for fun prizes

Snacks will be provided post race!

Timing

• Method: Chip timed compliments of Muddy Dog Sports.
• Dogs: Not allowed in Sacajawea Park per the City of Livingston.

Start Time

5K starts at 8:00 a.m.

Online registration is preferred but onsite registration is available from 7:15-7:45 at the start line (payment by cash, PayPal or check).

Sign up in advance by June 30 and save money! Price increases to $40 starting July 1, 2027. Kids prices do not increase.

Bib Pickup

• Friday: July 3, 2027 evening pickup time to be announced
• Saturday: July 4, 7:15 a.m.-7:45 a.m. at Sacajawea Park New Picnic Shelter on the NORTH side of the park.

Post Race

• Refreshments: Water and light snacks provided after the race.
• Food: Mountain Berry Bowls of Livingston will be on site with acai berry bowls for purchase.
• Thank You: For being part of our second annual 5k race.

This is a FUN run with all proceeds from this event going to help support our area youth running team attendance at regional cross country championships this fall and further the Yellowstone Running Club mission to promote running/walking in our area.

About Us

Yellowstone Running Club is committed to promoting running/walking for people of all ages in the Park County and surrounding areas. It supports youth runners from our area wanting to attend regional and national cross country running competitions. This year YRC plans to help area youth runners attend the Nike Regional Cross Country Championship in Idaho. Through fun runs and fun-draising we work to promote wellness through running/walking in the greater Park County area!
