About John Wilt

• Education: John graduated from O'Fallon Township High School in 1996.
• Interests: His passions included music, sports, math, science, literature, international relations, and history.
• Activities: At O'Fallon HS, John was active in various groups, such as the Honor Society, concert and marching bands, and Model UN.
• Military Service: After graduating from the United States Naval Academy with a degree in Physics, he was commissioned as a 2nd Lt in the United States Marine Corps.

Tragic Loss

• Accident: John died on May 8th, 2002, in an aircraft accident during flight officer training at NAS Pensacola, Florida.
• Posthumous Promotion: He was posthumously promoted to 1st Lt in August 2008.

Foundation Mission

• Scholarship: The John Wilt Foundation supports a $1,500 yearly, renewable scholarship for four OTHS graduates.
• Community Support: The foundation also contributes to organizations such as the Missouri USO and Fisher House.
