Event Overview

The Valley To the Sea Half Marathon 5K/10K – with spectacular views through the most beautiful setting in the world. It’s an entire event filled with competition and fun starting with the Half Marathon, 10k and 5k and ending when you cross the finish line at one of the most beautiful beaches on Maui. All courses are beautiful with an ocean view to run/walk for. If that doesn’t motivate you to be in this event, nothing will. If you can't make it live with us, you can do it Virtual! We will mail out your bib, medal and shirt.

Half Marathon Schedule

• Start Location: Iao Valley Needle
• Finish Location: Humpback Whale Sanctuary, Kihei
• Start Time: 6:30am @ Iao Needle State Park

5K / 10K Schedule

• Start Location: Humpback Whale Sanctuary in Kihei
• Finish Location: Humpback Whale Sanctuary in Kihei
• Start Time: 6:30am NEW TIME

Other Important Information

• Packet Pick-up: Friday the 12th from 3pm-5pm at the Humpback Whale Sanctuary in Kihei.
• Parking: None at the sanctuary. You must park on the side streets off Sanctuary property.
• Shuttle Bus for Half Marathon: 5:15am pickup at the Whale Sanctuary. Drop-offs allowed at the start line.
• Aid Stations: 7 along the course.

Course Descriptions

• 5k Course: Flat and some beach running. Out and Back.
• 10k Course: Flat and some beach running. Out and Back.
• Half Marathon: Downhill, flat, and very little hills.

Refund Policy

THERE ARE NO REFUNDS TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE EVENT. PLEASE MAKE A NOTE OF THAT.

NO REFUNDS DUE TO CANCELLATIONS FROM NATURAL DISASTER OR UNFORESEEN WEATHER.

ALL ENTRIES WILL BE ROLLED OVER TO THE FOLLOWING YEAR OR ANOTHER EVENT WE DIRECT, IF YOU DESIRE.
