Race Overview

The Valley To the Sea Half Marathon 5K/10K – with spectacular views through the most beautiful setting in the world. It’s an entire event filled with competition and fun starting with the Half Marathon, 10k and 5k and ending when you cross the finish line at one of the most beautiful beaches on Maui. All courses are beautiful with an ocean view to run/walk for. If that doesn’t motivate you to be in this event, nothing will. If you can't make it live with us, you can do it Virtual! We will mail out your bib, medal and shirt.

• Start Location: Iao Valley Needle
• Finish: Humpback Whale Sanctuary, Kihei
• Date: March 13th 2027
• Time: 6:30am @ Iao Needle State Park

5K / 10K

• Start Location: Humpback Whale Sanctuary in Kihei
• Finish: Humpback Whale Sanctuary in Kihei
• Date: March 13th, 2027
• Time: 6:30am NEW TIME

Additional Information

• Packet Pick-up: Friday the 12th from 3pm-5pm at the Humpback Whale Sanctuary in Kihei.
• Parking: None at the sanctuary. You must park on the side streets off Sanctuary property. We suggest to get dropped off at the start on race day for the 5k/10k.
• Shuttle Bus: 5:15am pick up at the Whale Sanctuary for Half Marathon participants.
• Aid Stations: 7 along the course

Facilities

• Bathrooms: Start and Finish and midway of the half marathon.
• Age Divisions: Under 17, 18-29, 30-39, 40, 49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
• 5k Course: Flat and some beach running. Out and Back
• 10k Course: Flat and some beach running. Out and Back

Important Notes

• No Refunds: There are no refunds two weeks prior to the event.
• Cancellation Policy: No refunds due to cancellations from natural disasters or unforeseen weather.
• Entry Roll-over: All entries will be rolled over to following year or another event we direct, if you desire.
