About Hale Kau Kau
- Mission: Hale Kau Kau delivers 115 meals to the homebound elderly and disabled each day.
- Service: Currently serving 40-80 complete hot meals each evening.
- Generosity: We rely on the generosity of our supporters to continue feeding those in need.
- Community Support: Through our fundraisers, we support our mission with compassion and aloha.
Event Highlights
- Costume Contest: Prizes for the best individual and family/team costumes.
- Team Categories: Men, women, youth, mixed teams, and a First Responder Team Challenge.
- Age Group Awards: Awards will be given in 5-year age groups from 10 and under to 90+.
- Post-Event Activities: Sit down breakfast, door prizes, and a Halloween Costume Contest.

- Support Needed: We are looking for sponsors to support this quality event.
- Title Sponsor: Consider being a title sponsor for $5000 or more.
- Platinum Sponsor: Contributions between $1000 - $4999, with logo placement and recognition.
- Gold Medal Sponsor: Contributions from $500-$999, with recognition on our website and program.
Registration and Participation
- Event Start Times: 8:00 AM for the 5k Run/Walk and 8:15 AM for the 1 Mile Walk.
- Virtual Participation: Those not on Maui can walk/run where they live and submit results.
- Wheelchair Division: All are welcome to run or walk either event.
- Course Description: 90% back roads, flat and fast, USATF sanctioned event.
