Stomp Out Hunger 5k Run and 1Mile Walk

🏃‍♀️ Event Overview

Aloha Friends of Hale Kau Kau,

• Mission: Hale Kau Kau continues to deliver over 100 meals to the homebound elderly and/or disabled each day and serves a hot meal each day to anyone who comes by the kitchen at dinner time, currently we are serving about 50-70 complete hot meals from the kitchen each evening: thus Hale Kau Kau prepares and delivers/serves over 150 meals every day of the year.
• Support: In order to continue to feed those who are hungry, we must rely on the generosity of our many supporters. Through our fundraisers, friends of Hale Kau Kau continue to donate and support our mission to feed the hungry with compassion and aloha.

🎉 Race Information

• Date & Time: The 10th Annual Stomp Out Hunger 5k & 1 Mile Walk fundraiser will be on Saturday, October 25th. The race starts at 8am for the 5k RUN/Walk and 8:15 for the 1 mile WALK.
• Location: Both start and finish at Hale Kau Kau, 25 W Lipoa Street, Kihei, HI with free parking available at St. Theresa Church.
• Activities: There will be a team event for businesses to support their team, age group awards, a complete sit down breakfast in the hall, door prizes, and a Halloween Costume Contest.
• Participation: Those not on Maui on Oct 25th can participate virtually, run/walk where they live, and submit their results to Dr. Mary by Oct 15th.

📢 Sponsorship Opportunities

• Support Needed: We are looking for corporate sponsors to support our efforts to put on a quality event as well as raise the needed funds for our meal program.
• Direct Impact: All the funds raised from the Stomp out Hunger Event, both from the participants and from our sponsors, go directly to the operating budget for Hale Kau Kau.

💰 Sponsorship Levels

• Basic Levels:
  $10-$30 Short Order Cook: $31-$60 Line Cook: $61-$150 Chef de’Cuisine Sponsor: $151-$499 Executive Chef Sponsor.
• Premium Levels:
  $500-$999 GOLD MEDAL SPONSOR: $1000 - $4999 PLATINUM SPONSOR.
• Recognition: Those who donate at the Gold Medal Sponsorship or above will receive special recognition at our Awards Ceremony.
• Deadline: If you plan on being a Gold or Platinum sponsor, please send in your logo by Sept. 10th to be placed on our race day giveaway.

🥇 Ceremony and Awards

• Awards: The 5K race will have 5 year age group awards from 9-100 and will recognize corporate challenges.
• Challenge: Corporations can send in 4 runners to compete for the Corporate Challenge Award.
• Past Winners: In 2019, Fairmont Kea Lani won the 1st Annual Corporate Challenge Award.
• Encouragement: Ladies, it is time for you to step up and enter an ALL Women’s Team for 2025!
