About the Pumpkin Run
The Pumpkin Run, a tradition in Half Moon Bay for over four decades, treats participants to a majestic course which runs along the Coastal Trail. Portions of the course hug the coastline along the Pacific Ocean. All proceeds benefit Senior Coastsiders, a local non-profit dedicated to providing opportunities, support, and resources for older adults living on the coast from Montara to Pescadero and Skyline to the Sea.
Safety Guidelines
- Pets: Pets and emotional support animals are not permitted on the course or in event areas.
- Service Animals: Welcome when leashed/harnessed and under handler control at all times.
- Misrepresentation: Misrepresenting a pet as a service animal is a misdemeanor under California Penal Code § 365.7.
- Control: Service animals that are out of control or display aggressive behavior may be asked to leave.
Current Pricing
- Pricing Includes: Prices are inclusive of mandatory charges, items, and fees.
- Half Marathon: Has a 3.5 hour time limit.
- Registration: Register early to guarantee your spot in your distance of choice and your shirt size.
- Limited Availability: No guarantees for openings or shirt sizes as race day approaches.
Virtual Events
- Participation: Virtual options available for those who can’t join in person.
- Trifecta: Run or walk all three events anytime during the event period.
- Double Trouble: Complete both the 5K and 10K at any point during the event period.
- Tracking: Upload times via the ASICS Runkeeper App or manually.
Registration Deadline
*All virtual registrations must be completed no later than midnight, October 4th, in order to obtain race packet before October 17th! There are no guarantees that your packet will arrive in time prior to October 17th if you register after October 4th.
