• Charity Support: Supporting Dogs 2nd Chance rescue.
• Course: Scenic 3.1 mile course in Overton Park.

• Proceeds: Directly support rescuing and caring for abandoned and abused dogs in the Mid South.

Participation Guidelines

• Leash Rule: All dogs must remain on a short leash during the event.
• Restrictions: No retractable leashes, and female dogs in heat or puppies under 12 weeks are prohibited.
• Owner Responsibilities: Dog owners assume all liability for any incidents involving their pets.
• Water Availability: Fresh water will be provided for dogs during and after the run.

Parking Information

• Parking Areas: Available near Rainbow Lake Pavilion along Veterans Plaza, Golf Drive, and Morrie Moss Lane.
• Arrive Early: We recommend arriving early or carpooling to save spaces.
• Access: Lots of parking is available, but early arrivers will have an advantage.
• Parking Compliance: Please park responsibly in designated areas.

Registration and Packet Pickup

• Registration Deadline: Sign up by September 10th to guarantee a t-shirt on race day.
• Packet Pickup Dates:
  • Thursday, Oct 8th, 3-6:30 PM (location pending)
  • Friday, Oct 9th, 3-6 PM (location pending)
  • Saturday morning before the race begins at 7:45 AM.

Awards and Recognition

• Medal Awards: For Top Male and Female finishers.
• Age Group Recognition: Top Male and Female Master (40+), Grand Master (70+), Senior Grand Master (80+).
• Age Group Awards: Top 3 in each age group (1-11, 12-14, etc.).
• All Finishers: Will receive a Mutt Strut 5k medal.

Course Map

• Finishers: All participants crossing the finish line will receive a medal.
