Thanksgiving Day Gobble Wobble 5K & Fun Run

Event Overview

Join us for our 11th Annual Gobble Wobble event on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 26, 2026)!

Participants' Benefits

• 5K Participants: Will receive a lightweight hoodie and custom finisher medal.
• Kids Fun Run Participants: Will receive a lightweight hoodie and a fun run medal (guaranteed if registered by November 20, 2026).
• All Donations: Will benefit Meals by Grace. www.mealsbygrace.org

Corral Information

• Corral Assignment: 5K runners will be assigned to a Corral based on the estimated finish time submitted during registration.
• Corral Guidelines: Starting Corrals will be pre-assigned, and your assigned Corral will be indicated on your race bib.
• Starting Area: Will be sectioned off with signs to direct runners to their assigned Corral.
• Timing: Your official race time does not start until you cross the starting line.

Registration Details

• Registration Cutoff: November 20, 2026, for finisher medal and race shirt.
• Shirt Size: If your desired shirt size is available, you will receive that size shirt at packet pickup.
• Register Early: To take advantage of discounts and guarantee your shirt and finisher medal.

Race Location and Parking

• Starting Line: At the surface parking lot behind Cherry Street Brewpub.
• Parking Options: Free parking is available in the parking garage at Halcyon and other nearby lots.
• Carpooling: Participants are advised to carpool to this event.
• Parking Regulations: Please don’t park in locations that are open for business on Thanksgiving Day or in residential areas.

Race Start Times

• 5K Walk/Run: 8:00 AM
• Kids Fun Run (10 & Under): 9:15 AM
• Medal Guarantee: Participants are guaranteed to receive a crewneck sweatshirt and finisher medal if registered by November 20th at 11:59 PM.

Packet Pickup

Location: At Big Peach Running Co. - Cumming (5485 Bethelview Road, Suite 430, Cumming, GA 30040)

• Pickup Days: November 20th to November 25th from 12 PM to 5 PM.
• No Race Day Pickup: There will not be race day packet pickup.
• T-Shirt Size Exchange: Will not be exchanged at packet pickup.

Restroom Facilities

• Location: Full-service restrooms are located inside The Market Hall, adjacent to the coffee shop.
• Portable Toilets: Located adjacent to the Big Creek Greenway Halcyon Trailhead facility.
• Advice: For shorter wait times, use the facilities at the Big Creek Greenway Halcyon Trailhead.

Awards

• Categories: Overall male/female and overall masters male/female.
• Age Group Awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards in 5-year increments for the 5K.
• Award Pickup: Overall and Age Group Awards will be available for pickup after race day.

Additional Information

• Weather Policy: Events will be held rain or shine.
• Event Changes: Race officials may cancel, delay, or change the event if not safe for the public.
