Join us on Thanksgiving Day. Come out and burn some pre-turkey calories while working up an appetite for your Thanksgiving Day feast by running or walking the 16th annual Tryptophan Half Marathon, 10K, or 5K.

About the Event

• Tradition: WOW, 16 years is an amazing tradition! We are THANKFUL to all of YOU for coming out year after year.
• Family-Friendly: It is great to see family and friends come together from all over to create special memories on race day!
• Participation: Runners/Walkers will have the option to participate IN-PERSON or VIRTUALLY.
• Packet Pickup: Race packets for virtual participants will be mailed out by USPS. In-Person race packet pickup will be offered on Wednesday, November 25, 2026 and race day.

• Race Day: Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 2026
• Race Start Times:
  • Half Marathon - 7:30am
  • 10K - 7:45am
  • 5K - 8:00am
  • Fun Run 1K - 9:00am
  • Virtual - whenever, wherever
• Cost:
  • Half - $45 until 9/1, rising to $70 on race day
  • 10K - $30 until 9/1, rising to $50 on race day
  • 5K - $25 until 9/1, rising to $45 on race day
  • Virtual - $40.00, Fun Run - $20.00

Course Information

• 5K Course: Starts and finishes in front of Rosati's Pizza and Sports Pub, 415 Peachtree Parkway, Cumming, GA. Mostly flat course with lots of room to run.
• 10K Course: Continues from the 5K going south on Peachtree Parkway and U-Turning before Sharon Rd. returning back to the finish.
• Half Marathon: Continues from the 10K U-Turn down past the Brookwood Target and returning to the finish line.

Packet Pickup and Registration

• Packet Pickup: Wednesday, November 25, 2026 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Starbucks located at 435 Peachtree Pkwy, Cumming, GA.
• Race Day Registration: Starting at 6:30am in the parking lot in front of Rosati's.

Parking Information

• Location: The Tryptophan 2026 race course utilizes a portion of the Brannon Crossing parking lot.
• Recommendations: For runner safety, park across the street at The Collection of Forsyth.
• Timing: Be sure to allow plenty of time to park, pick up your packets, and get to the start!

Awards

• Overall Male/Female: Awards for the top overall male and female participants.
• Masters Male/Female: Awards for the top male and female masters participants.
• Age Groups: 3 Deep Male/Female: 10 and Under to 75+ in five-year increments.
