Run for Rangers Half Marathon/10k/5k

Event Details and Schedule

5K

• Date: Saturday, November 14, 2026 at 9:15 a.m.
• Type: Timed event with several age/gender categories.
• Awards: 1st to 3rd places for each category.
• Registration: Please visit this link for further information and to register, or just buy a shirt and support our Ranger Vets.

10K

• Date: Saturday, November 14, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.
• Type: Timed event with several age/gender categories.
• Awards: 1st to 3rd places for each category.
• Parking: Abundant in Dahlonega: all safety precautions will be taken.

Half Marathon (Mountain Marathon)

• Date: Sunday, November 15, 2026 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Course: Off-pavement service roads through the Appalachian Mountains, near the Appalachian Trail.
• Challenge: Includes two grueling hills where America’s best soldiers are trained.
• After Event: Food and Beverage available at The Overhang service Club, including beer, wine, and a full menu.

Ranger Challenge

• Registration: Sign up for two races - the 5K or the 10K on Saturday, November 14th and the half marathon on Sunday, November 15th.
• Challenge Level: An extra challenge for those looking to push themselves!
• Pre-registration: Strongly requested for planning purposes.
• Walk-up Registrants: Not guaranteed a T-shirt for the event.

Event Details

• Race Day Registration 5K and 10K: Saturday, November 14th from 07:30-08:45 a.m. at Hancock Park.
• Race Start Times: 10K at 9:00 a.m. and 5K at 9:15 a.m.
• Race Day Registration Half Marathon: Sunday, November 15th from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at The Overhang at Camp Merrill.
• Race Start Time: 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Awards

• 5K Awards: Overall Male/Female, Masters Male/Female, and Age Groups 1st, 2nd and 3rd place starting at 10 and Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and Up.
• 10K and Half Marathon Awards: Overall Male/Female, Masters Male/Female, and Age Groups 1st, 2nd and 3rd place starting at 14 and Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and Up.
• Recognition: Top overall male/female per category recognized with a Custom Crafted Ranger Plaque.
• Additional Purchases: Long sleeve t-shirts and hoodies available for purchase!
