White County Turkey Trot

Event Overview

Join us in the beautiful North Georgia mountains on November 15, 2025 for the Inaugural White County Turkey Trot! Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting, the 5k is designed for all runners and walkers.

Beneficiaries

• Support: Proceeds from this year’s White County Turkey Trot will support United Way of White County and Northeast Georgia Veterans Society.

Participant Amenities

• In-Person Participants: All in person participants will receive a race T-shirt, race bib, course support, and post race refreshments.
• Virtual Participants: Virtual participants will receive a race t-shirt, but be sure to include an email upon registration for mailing.
• T-Shirt Guarantee Deadline: October 20, 2025. After this date, t-shirts are not guaranteed and will be available as supply lasts.
• Registration: Register online until 11:59 PM on November 14, 2025. Race day registration will be in person until 8:30 AM.

Course Information

The race will start and end at the Recreation Center at Yonah Preserve. The scenic 5K course is run completely inside the park.

Race Day Schedule

• 8-8:45 AM: Packet Pick-up and Race Day Registration
• 9:00 AM: 5k start
• 10:00 AM: Award Ceremony Start Time (approximately)

Awards

Awards will be given to first and second place for both male and female runners in the following categories:

• Overall Winner: First and second place for both genders.
• Age Groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+
• Award Collection: Please note that awards will not be mailed. If you need to leave before the ceremony, please pick up your award at the awards table.
