White County Turkey Trot

Race Overview

Join us in the beautiful North Georgia mountains on November 14, 2026 for the First Annual White County Turkey Trot! Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting, the 5k is designed for all runners and walkers.

Beneficiary

Proceeds from this year’s White County Turkey Trot will support United Way of White County.

Participant Perks

• In-Person Benefits: All in person participants will receive a race T-shirt (be sure to sign up by the shirt deadline to guarantee a shirt on race day), race bib, course support, and post race refreshments.
• Virtual Benefits: Virtual participants will receive a race t-shirt (make sure to include an email upon registration so a mailing address can be obtained).
• T-Shirt Guarantee: T-shirt guarantee deadline is October 18, 2026. After that date t-shirts are not guaranteed and will be available as supply lasts.
• Registration Deadline: Online Registration will be open through November 14 at 8:45 a.m. We highly encourage you to register on your mobile device or computer before coming to the race site. All registration is online. No walk up cash registration will be available.

Course Information

The race will start and end at the Recreation Center at Yonah Preserve. The scenic 5K course is run completely inside the park.

Race Day Schedule

• 8-8:45 AM: Packet Pick-up and Race Day Registration
• 9:00 AM: 5k start
• 10:00 AM: Award Ceremony Start Time (approximately)

Awards

Awards will be given to first and second place for both male and female runners in the following categories:

• Overall: First and second place winners.
• Masters: Ages 50+
• Age Groups: 10 and under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
• Award Collection: Please note that awards will not be mailed. If you need to leave before the ceremony, please pick up your award at the awards table.
