About the Event

Join the K9 PTSD Research Center in beautiful Bourne, Massachusetts, for a meaningful, family-friendly morning honoring the K9 heroes who serve and protect our communities and country.

The morning will begin with our Annual K9 Hero Awards Ceremony, where we will recognize extraordinary working K9s for their courage, service, sacrifice, and devotion to their handlers and communities.

For the first time ever at this event, guests will have the opportunity to watch these remarkable K9 heroes accept their awards live alongside their handlers. This special ceremony will bring the community together to celebrate the bond between each K9 and handler while sharing the inspiring stories behind their service.

Come early, show your support, and be part of an unforgettable moment as these deserving K9 heroes are honored in front of their families, departments, and community.

5K Walk/Run Details

At 10:00 AM, participants will take part in the 5K Walk/Run for the K9 Heroes, a 3.1-mile course that is currently being certified, beginning and ending at Bourne High School.

• Participants: Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome.
• Dogs: Dogs are also welcome to walk the course with their owners.
• Community: Bring your family, bring your four-legged companion, and join us in showing your support for these remarkable heroes.

Awards and Participation

Race awards will be presented in the following categories:

• Male Division: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place
• Female Division: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place
• Children’s Division: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place

Children: Children under 12 may participate for free. The first 300 registered participants will receive a free race T-shirt.
