About this race
Race Overview
The third race in our series, and the second day of racing at Burke, will be in the ENDURO format. The course will include three timed segments in which the downhills counts and riders have the chance to test their technical skills against other riders. Cat A riders may do an additional segment, for FOUR total segments.
Waivers
All riders must complete the Burke Waiver. CLICK HERE TO SIGN WAIVER.
Event Details
- Staging: We will stage riders, and there will also be course marshals at the top of each stage to regulate starting in 30 second intervals.
- Safety Equipment: We recommend that racers wear protective equipment such as a full face helmet or additional pads.
- Ability Level: Riders must ride within their ability level and control their speed.
- Location: All riding will occur outside of the Burke Bike Park with the exception of use of the Lower J Bar Trail. Riders MAY NOT ride the lifts while participating in a VTYC event.

Parent Participation
Parents are encouraged to contribute to the festival atmosphere by bringing a tent/chairs and food for your riders.
Schedule
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE ENDURO SCHEDULE IS VERY DIFFERENT FROM OUR XC RACES.
- 8:30-9:45: Course open to pre-ride
- 8:30-9:45: Chip Pick-up and Day-of Registration
- 9:30: Mandatory Coaches Meeting at VTYC Tent (including parents of independent riders)
- 10:00: Cat A Race Start
- 10:12: Cat B Start
- 10:02: Cat C Race Start
- 10:10: Junior Start
Podium Awards
Awards will be given to the top five riders in each category so make sure you stick around!
Course Pre-riding
The course will be open to pre-ride on the afternoon of Saturday Sept. 12 and Sunday morning from 8:30-9:45am.
Chip Timing
We will have volunteers collecting chip in the finish chute. Riders MUST return their chip or they will be charged $50.

Additional Information
- Independent Racers: Independent racers are welcome! If you want to participate but aren't linked up with a team yet, please register as an 'Independent' rider and come out for a fun time!
- Young Riders: If you have young riders below 5th Grade, bring them along as there will be lots of fun racing to watch.
