Bidwell BUMP 50th Anniversary Oldest MTB Race in the WORLD

Event Overview

Originally held in August of 1976, this regional technical mountain bike race combines technical elements of both cross country (XC) and aggressive trail riding features to create a unique competitive event. This is one race everyone needs to include on their race calendar, whether you attend as a rider or spectator.

Event Details

• Date: Saturday, October 3rd, 2026
• Location: Wildwood Ave, North Rim Trail, Easter Cross parking lot, Chico, CA
• Two Day Event: This year we will hold a two day event.
• Registration: This event has sold out in recent years. I would register ASAP. We're keeping the entry fees low.

Race Categories

• Runners Event: There will be a runners event.
• Beginner XC Course: We will have a beginner XC course.
• E-Bike Class: There will be an E-Bike Class.
• Intermediate XC Course: There will be an Intermediate XC course.

Courses Available

• XC Course: There will be an XC course.
• Super D Course: There is also a Super D (Downhill) course.
• ALL Mountain Event: The ALL Mountain is the BIG DOG event, combining the XC with the SD. Riders will first compete in the XC and then the SD.
• Transportation Reminder: Please note all SD riders need to arrange for transportation to the top of the start of the SD. You can only use one bike.
