About this race
The Filthy 50 Race Description
The Filthy 50 is an annual gravel road cycling event that takes place on the gravel roads around Lanesboro, Minnesota on the second Saturday in October as the leaves on the trees begin to change. This is our 12th anniversary! There are 25 and 50 mile routes for our riders to choose from. All are welcome and encouraged. "Race it and set a record. Ride it and take in the beauty. Either way, get filthy." - Unknown
Check-In
- Time: will run from 6pm - 8pm on Friday, October 9th at Sylvan Brewing.
- Location: Also at Pedal Pushers Cafe from 7am - 9:00am on Saturday, October 10th.
- Registration: There are no additional check-in options.
- Walk-Up Registrations: No walk-up registrations available at these times.
The Pretty Filthy 25
- Departure: 25 mile riders will leave downtown Lanesboro on Saturday, October 10th at 9:30am under police escort.
- Route: Follow the creek as they climb Grosbeak and Gentle, eventually descending on Easy Street.
- Features: Minimum maintenance roads, 1900+ feet of climbing.
- Recommendation: If you haven’t attempted The Filthy before, we highly recommend that you start here.
The Filthy 50
- Departure: 50 mile riders will leave downtown Lanesboro on Saturday, October 10th at 9:30am under police escort.
- Route: Heading south and then east, following the creek and climbing Grosbeak and Gentle.
- Challenges: This route will feature several minimum maintenance roads, 3200+ feet of climbing.
- Experience: After making their way down Grit Road, crossing our finish line in downtown Lanesboro is gonna feel good.
