2026 Brigantine Beach Triathlon

Event Overview

The City of Brigantine and Green Whales, Inc are proud to present the 2026 Brigantine Beach Triathlon. Every year since its inception, the race has benefited various entities on Brigantine Beach including:

• Polar Bear Plunge: Support for local winter swimming event.
• Brigantine Rams: Local youth sports organization.
• Marine Mammal Stranding Center: Wildlife rehabilitation.
• Veterans: Support for local veterans and their families.

Community Involvement

Local Police, Fire, EMS, and various city departments are involved in making this race a success, year after year, including:

• Department of Public Works: Ensuring the course is safe and accessible.
• Beach Patrol: Monitoring the swim portion for safety.
• City Council and Mayor: Supporting the event at the municipal level.
• NJ State Police: Ensuring the safety of all participants.

Race Details

Several hundred athletes of varying abilities will participate in Saturday’s event, featuring:

• Swim: A ¼ mile swim in the bay, starting at the 26th St. S. City Dock area.
• Bike: A scenic 11 mile ride around the Island of Brigantine.
• Run: A 4 mile run to the North end of Brigantine and back.
• Finish: Completing at the 26th St. S. Recreation Complex.

Post-Race Activities

After the event all athletes will have time to relax at the 26th Street Recreation Complex with:

• Lunch: Enjoy a meal after the race.
• DJ: Music to celebrate the event.
• Awards Ceremony: Recognizing the achievements of participants.
• Relaxation: Time to unwind after a challenging race.
