• Weekend Schedule: Kids Tri on Saturday, Adult Tri on Sunday
• Organization: Coordinated by Willmar Aquatic Racing Stingrays
• Purpose: Proceeds support youth swimming in surrounding communities

Packet Pickup

• Friday Pickup: August 7th, 5-7 pm at Pavilion at Saulsbury Beach, Spicer
• Race Day Pickup: 8:00 am - 8:45 am at Pavilion at Saulsbury Beach, Spicer

Race Start Time: 9:00 am

Awards

• Finishers Medals: Awarded to all participants
• T-Shirt: Given to those registered before July 31st
• Goodie Bags: All participants will receive one
• Medals: Top 3 finishers in each age group will receive an additional medal

Awards ceremony will be held at the Pavilion at Saulsbury Beach, Spicer following the last event.

Course Details

Swimming for all events (except the Elite Heat) will take place in chest deep water along the public beach area. The Elite Heat will swim around the swim buoys. The bike and run course for ages 3-4 and 5-6 will stay in the parking lot. Ages 7-8, 8-9, 11-12, and Elite Heat bike and run routes are on an open road with traffic. Life Jackets are permitted. No helmets permitted in the water.

Transition Areas: Limited to athletes and parents of athletes under the age of 7. Athletes 7 and over may NOT receive assistance in this area, not adhering to this may result in athlete disqualification. Race volunteers will be available in the transition area to help direct athletes.

Age Groups and Distances

• 3-4 years: Swim 20yd, Bike 1 lap, Run 1 lap
• 5-6 years: Swim 50yd, Bike 3 laps, Run 1 lap
• 7-8 years: Swim 100yd, Bike 2mi, Run .5 mi
• Elite Heat: Combined 7-12 years: Swim 200yd, Bike 3mi, Run 1mi - requires swimming
