Event Overview
- Event: 14th annual Hy Noon Kiwanis Storm the Lake Triathlon/Duathlon and Championship Open Swim race.
- Purpose: Charity event for Storm Lake Kiwanis Youth Projects.
- Location: Beautiful Storm Lake, IA at King’s Pointe Waterpark and Resort.
- Experience: Swim in the protected bay, bike around the lake and run along the lake finishing at the flower lined path.
Race Details
- Triathlon: 600 m swim in the bay, 12 mile bike, and 5K run.
- Duathlon: 1 mile run, 12 mile bike, and 5K run in the same race area.
- Open Swim: 600 meter open swim.
- Venue Recognition: Storm Lake is considered one of the most beautiful venues for a triathlon in Iowa.
Iowa Championship Series
- Participation: Part of the Iowa Championship Triathlon Series and Iowa Open Water Championship Swim Series.
- Support: Supportive environment celebrating effort, growth, and competition.
- Points: Every race in the series earns points toward state championship in your age group.

- Address: King’s Pointe Resort and Waterpark, 1520 E. Lakeshore Dr. Storm Lake, IA.
- Accessibility: Storm Lake is 60 miles east of Sioux City, IA, 135 miles north of Omaha, NE, 140 miles northwest of Des Moines, IA, 140 miles southeast of Sioux Falls, SD on highway 71.
- Packet Pickup: 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 14 at King’s Pointe Resort.
- Transition Area: Opens from 6:30 to 7:45 a.m. on Aug. 15.
Distances
- Swim: 600 m in the bay at King’s Pointe.
- Bike: 12 miles around the lake to transition area at King’s Point.
- Run: 5K along the lake and back to King’s Pointe.
- Involvement: Participation helps raise funds for High Noon Kiwanis children's and youth projects.
Registration Information
- Registration Policy: All registrations are final. Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Shirt Availability: Size guaranteed if registered by Aug. 7, first come/first serve after that date.
- Medals: All participants will receive a medal.
