SAG (Support & Gear) Team
Rider safety is a big part of Cycle 66, and this team helps our riders out on the road! A personal vehicle with a bike rack (or a truck or SUV) is required. (We may be able to loan you a rack for the day.) This team is responsible for patrolling the route within assigned zones to make sure riders are safe. This could include picking up broken-down cyclists, calling for the medical team in the case of an injury, or reporting back to the ride director about any dangerous situations that may arise. Takes place all-day Sunday, but shifts may be available, so please reach out if that works better for you. Expect a virtual training session the week of the event.
- Timeframe: 7am to 2pm (shorter shifts available by request)
- Volunteers Needed: Twelve (12) Licensed Drivers needed
- Supplies Provided: Basic supplies will be provided
- Vehicle Requirement: Truck/SUV or vehicle with bike rack required
- Training: Virtual training session week before the event
