The Buckeye Sun & Moon Trail Runs take place at Alum Creek State Park in Galena, Ohio. Run in the morning or at night...or Both!
The Buckeye Sun Trail Runs are for the early risers looking for a fun trail run along side the participants of the Last Buckeye Standing Backyard Ultra that will take place using the same 4.167 mile course. The Buckeye Moon Trail Runs bring you a unique night event for all trail lovers!
Start Times
- Buckeye Sun race for all distances starts at 8:30am
- Buckeye Moon 27K and 20K start at 7:30pm, the 13K and 7K start at 8:30pm
Event Distances
Both the Buckeye Sun & Buckeye Moon trail runs have four (4) distance options:
7K = 1 loop (4.167 miles)
13K = 2 loops (8.167 miles)
20k = 3 loops (12.167 miles)
26k = 4 loops (16.167 miles) with a 5-hour time limit

Check-in & Parking
Check-in is located at the Start/Finish area just south of the trail entrance at the Boat Launch area.
Parking - There is ample parking at the Galena Boat Ramp off Africa Rd. Please park in designated area in parking lot. Do not park in the grass or along the road.
